Menu Path: Admin > Servers > Mail Server
Select Default Email Client
- Select either GreeneStep or Microsoft Outlook as the email client.
- If Microsoft Outlook is installed in the User’s system, on selecting the option, the Microsoft Outlook email client window will open up and the User can send mail
- Selecting the GreeneStep Email client, the GreeneStep’s email client window will show up
Menu Path: Admin > Login Settings > Select Email Client > Accept
Note: When Microsoft Outlook is an Email client, both the GreeneStep application and Outlook should have the same Administrator permission, i.e In the GreeneStep application and Outlook, the ‘Run as administrator’ option should have the same selection – either checked or unchecked
To access this option.
Menu Path for Greenestep: Right-click on the Greenestep Application > Properties > Compatibility > Change settings for all users > Run this program as an administrator
Menu Path for Outlook: Right-click on the Outlook Application > Shortcut > Advanced > Run as administrator
Setup Report Email Configuration
Menu Path: Admin > Report Studios > Menu > Click Standard > Select a Report > Menu > Email Setting > Select the Template
Note: If the template is not available for the selected report, Click on ‘Ok’ and proceed to the template selection pop-up
Select/Create Template for Report Email Configuration
- Create a new template from the Template drop-down or assign if any templates are already created and available
- Right-click on the template and select “New” to create a new template
- Place the cursor on the template field and click Ctrl+insert to create a new template
- Enter the description, Subject, and body in the email
b. Select the created Template and Email Server and Save
Address Options Tab > Select “To Email Options”
- Enter additional To, CC, and BCC, and Click on Save
Send Report by Email
Menu Path: Select Required Module > Reports master > Select the report > Click on Email button > Select Address > Send
- For example, if the selected template is the customer-related report, go to the CRM module, select Reports Master (if the prerequisites of the report type are list), or go to the respective master if the selected report type is internal
- The “To” Address can be provided while sending a mail or as a prerequisite followed in step 4, which automatically reflects while sending a mail
E-mail via Outlook
Refer to step 2 (Select Microsoft Outlook in Email settings)
Menu Path: Select Module > Report master > Click on Email button (it gives a pop-up on the taskbar) > Open > Select appropriate address > Send
