In GreeneStep, the Product Master is a key record that identifies an inventory item, SKU, or service item to transact whether in Sales, Purchases, Dropship, Warehouse Management, or Stock Inventory Control.
For CRM purposes, it is mandatory to manage service items. These service items can be created and updated from the Cloudfront Module
One can also create the Products in the BackOffice and access or update on the Cloudfront.
Users can bulk import items and also update various fields from the Bulk Import Manager from the BackOffice.
Product Types:
- Service ( Either for Sale or for Vendor Payment Items)
- Inventory Stock ( Spares, Components, Materials, Semi-Finished Goods or Tradable Stock Items)
- Stock Type can be either Serialized or Non-Serialized with Batch Lot Tracking
Classification:
- Regular
- Bill of Material Type ( BOM ) with Components
- Kit Assortments with Individual Stock or Non-stock Items
Group Products into Categories for reporting and performance tracking purposes. Also helps in displaying the same on the GS Ecommerce Webstore
Unit of Measure (UOM) is another important field where a Product can be stocked or stored in a particular UOM, purchased in different UOMs, and sold in different UOMs. Conversion factors between various measures are to be defined to handle multiple units of measures for a Product.
